Efektivitas Daya Antibakteri Ekstrak Etanol Buah Kapulaga (Amomum compactum Sol. Ex Maton) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Propionibacterium acnes

Bakteri Propionibacterium acnes merupakan bakteri Gram positif yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya acne vulgaris. Kapulaga (Amomum compactum Soland Ex Maton) salah satu tanaman berkhasiat memiliki kandungan senyawa antibakteri yaitu flavonoid, tanin, triterpenoid dan saponin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas daya hambat ekstrak etanol buah kapulaga dalam berbagai variasi konsentrasi 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% terhadap acnes. diawali dengan pembuatan simplisia, karakterisasi simplisia pengujian susut pengeringan sebesar 8,88% kadar air 4,96%. Skrining fitokimia dilakukan secara kualitatif. Ekstrak diperoleh dari proses maserasi menggunakan pelarut 70% menghasilkan rendemen 6,84%. Pengujian metode difusi sumuran menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas rata-rata diameter zona pada 12,63 mm, 13,75 14,75 16,50 21,88 mm. Kontrol klindamisin. Semakin besar digunakan maka semakin bening terbentuk sehingga hambatnya besar. Efektivitas paling tinggi terdapat menunjukan kategori sangat kuat
